Rainmen Storm the Court Locking Down 2nd Win Againt Kebs

Kebs fight to hold back the Rainmens’ thunder losing momentum & game in 4th period 112-

The Quebec City Kebs first away game of the 2010 Premier Basketball League (PBL) season was on January 10, 2010 in Halifax. Where the Quebec City Kebs tipped-off for the second time this season against Canadian Rival the Halifax Rainmen. The Quebec City Kebs played a tight first half against the Rainmen limiting the lead to 49 – 44. Halifax fought to lock down on the Quebec City Kebs lead scorer Sam Audet Sow (6’5 small forward) but he managed 13pts in the first half. Intense third period as the Quebec City Kebs storm the court driving back the Rainmen’s thunder taking the lead in the last three minutes of the third period 62-61. Halifax came back strong to win the period 75-66. The Halifax Rainmen capitalized on the Kebs fatigue turning up the heat attacking the rim in the fourth period to win the game 112-87.

 

Cordell Jeanty who sat out last game against the Rainmen because of injuries fought
hard in fourth to keep the Kebs in the game. The Quebec City Kebs played a
great game, but fatigue overcame them in the fourth, with three of their
strongest players out due to injuries Jonas Pierre (shoulder) Louis Patrick
Levros (ankle) and JP Morin (abdomen). The Quebec City Kebs are optimistic that two of the players will return in the next two weeks to play.

Head
Coach Alejandro Hasbani is content with the game stating ‘‘we played a good
first three periods. The other team was able to profit in the last four minutes with inside shots and three point shots. We have a good team and are very familiar with the run of the court.’’

The Quebec City Kebs next game will be away in Manchester against the Millrats on Sunday, January 17, 2010. With the final away game in January scheduled for January 29, 2010 against PBL newcomers the Puerto Rico Capitanes. The Kebs next home game will be on February 6, 2010 against the Buffalo Stampede starting at 7:30pm at Laval University’s PEPS Stadium.
