Remembrance Day Event Schedule

About 250 military personnel from 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group and from various naval and land reserve units within Quebec City region will take part in the annual Remembrance Day Parade on November 11 in Quebec City.

The parade, which will  give a ''proper commemoration'' to fallen soldiers will commence Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. on Grande Allée St. East at George-VI Avenue at the Croix du Souvenir cenotaph located near the St. Louis Gate.

Major Jean-Christian Marquis, 'C' Company Commander from 1 Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment, will command troops on parade. Several public figures and VIPs will take turns in order to lay wreaths in memory of the fallen soldiers who paid the price of their lives for their nation.

Represented Units and Formations during this parade are to include:

    - 1 Battailon, Royal 22e Régiment (100 men guard)
- 2 Battailon, Royal 22e Régiment
- Members of the Naval Reserve (30 men guard)
- 5e Régiment d'artillerie légère du Canada
- 35 Canadian Brigade Group (Army Reserve component)
- Royal Canadian Mounted Police
- Royal Canadian Legion Members
- Veterans Affairs of Canada Association members
- Cadets Corps from Quebec City Region
