Restaurateur Luigi Sgobba dies at 79

Luigi Sgobba, co-founder of Le Continental restaurant, died on January 19 at Hôpital Hôtel-Dieu de Québec. He was 79.
In November 1956, Sgobba and his brother Angelo, along with partners Luigi Giacomello and Stephano Degan, opened Le Continental at 26 Rue St-Louis, in the former residence of the Honourable Jean-Thomas Taschereau, a Canadian Supreme Court judge.
