One in three people in Quebec can't fall asleep at night and few of those are seeking treatment. A recent study published by a group of researchers at Université Laval suggests untreated insomnia is indirectly costing the Quebec economy more in lower productivity and work place absenteeism than the direct costs for treatment in the health care system.
