The fourth floor of the Jeffery Hale Hospital was under quarantine for nearly one month. “It was difficult for all of the patients,” said nurse Maud Cadieux.

A month-long quarantine of the Jeffery Hale Hospital’s fourth floor was finally lifted last week after the C. difficile outbreak that prompted it was determined to be over. The floor was put under quarantine on August 15 after tests confirmed three cases of the nosocomial infection in the hospital’s long-term care wards. The quarantine was lifted September 12.
