Positive Pre-Season Performance For The Saint Lawrence Lions

With the training camp evaluation, team selection and hard-paced practices making headway for the Lions first regular season home game, Coach Mike Labadie says he is satisfied with the team's attitude and readiness to work each day. The Lions are in their early stages of team building and hockey orientation. Players have been tested by a competitive pre-season exhibition schedule.

Les Capitales de Quebec wore Celtic green jerseys and the stands were dotted with the fabled colour as the local baseball team helped the Morrin Centre honour the city's Celtic heritage last weekend. The sounds of Celtic music filled the pre-game air Saturday, courtesy of the Matching Keys.

Snowboarders catch big air in downtown Quebec City

Big Weekend for the Lady Lions

St. Lawrence's AAA Women's Basketball team rebounded this past weekend, after last week’s embarrassing loss to Dawson, by winning both of its games held on enemy territory.

Friday, the Lady Lions travelled to John Abbott College to take on the Lady Islanders. John Abbott took control of the game in the first half, building a 12-point lead halfway through the second quarter. The Lady Lions then started to put more pressure defensively on the Lady Islanders which created a lot of turnovers that were converted into easy points for St. Lawrence.

SAINT LAWRENCE LIONS DOMINATE UJHL ALL-STAR GAME

Saint Lawrence forwards Jean-Philippe Sansfacon, Francois Litalien, David Grimard defencemen Geoffery Stowe, Laurent Dumont, goaltender Cederick Lafrance and head coach Mike Labadie participated in the UJHL All-Star game in Jamestown late last Saturday evening.

The Lions represented the Eastern Division along side of players from the Philadelphia Thunder and the Wooster Oilers. The Eastern All–Stars overpowered the Western team 11-4 with an impressive Canadian domination that will long be remembered by players and fans alike.

Lions Take Home Jamestown Showcase Championship

The Saint Lawrence Lions traveled to Jamestown, New York where the hometown Jets hosted the first ever United Junior Hockey League Showcase.
