Quebec City’s seventh annual Défilé de la Saint-Patrick / St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 19, departing from St. Patrick’s High School on Rue de Maisonneuve at 1:30 p.m.

There is a new route this year, as you’ll see from this map. Starting at the corner of Avenue de Salaberry and Rue Fraser, the parade will make its way up Avenue Cartier, along Grande Allée into the Old City via Rue Saint-Louis, pass in front of the Château Frontenac, down Rue du Fort and turn onto Rue de Buade, in front of City Hall, down Côte de la Fabrique and along Rue Saint-Jean, ending at Place d’Youville.

There will be lots of opportunities for parade-watching along the way, and most likely green beer for sale at the restaurants and pubs on Avenue Cartier, Grande Allée through the Old City and on Rue Saint-Jean!

So Get your Green On, and come watch the parade on Saturday, March 19. The Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph, a proud media sponsor of the Défile de la Saint-Patrick de Québec, will be marching in the parade and handing out free newspapers along the way. Here’s hoping St. Patrick makes sure we have warm, sunny weather that day.
