Music Suggestion

As you will soon discover, I am a huge music lover and my taste range from jazz to heavy metal. On that note, I thought it would be a good idea to suggest artists to our readers that deserve to be heard, whether they are known or unknown.

Today, let me propose "Redemption" (samples available), from Walls of Jericho.

Classified as a hardcore/metal band, they took another direction this time around and wrote a EP that offers five excellent accoustic songs, including the folk song "House of the Rising Sun", previously interpreted by bands such as The Animals and Pink Floyd.

Their foray into more accessible music was produced by Corey Taylor, frontman for the hugely successful bands Slipknot and Stone Sour. He also makes vocal appearances on three of the five tunes and he also plays guitar on the last offering "Addicted".

The songs are simple and mainly driven by the soothing voice of the female singer, Candace Kucsulain, who usually screams her lungs out on other releases by Walls of Jericho.

I strongly suggest you visit the link provided above and buy the album (around $5 at most retailers in Quebec City) if you like the samples.
