The eighth annual Literary Feast fundraiser will be held at the Morrin Centre on Thursday, November 10, 2016. The evening will start at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails in the Library, which is considered one of the most beautiful in Canada. Dinner, catered by Panache Catering, will be served at 6:30 in historic College Hall.

The Auberge Saint-Antoine’s Panache restaurant will cater an evening that will nourish mind, body and soul. Panache's menu this year includes: beet salad with chives, goat cheese and balsamic reduction, cream of squash and chestnut, with chive oil and lardons, Angus flank steak, purée of roasted onions with honey, tarragon and carrots. Dessert will be one of the Panache pastry chef's delights. A selection of wines is included with the meal.

Roch Carrier is our keynote speaker. The author of The Hockey Sweater, Carrier is the former director of the Canada Council for the Arts and former National Librarian of Canada. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and an Officer of the Order of Canada. Carrier will be talking about his best-selling biography, Montcalm & Wolfe: Two Men Who Forever Changed the Course of Canadian History.

To show his support for the Morrin Centre and our fundraiser, Yvon Charest will be joining us as the evening’s Honorary Chair. Charest is president and chief executive officer of Industrial Alliance and is very active in humanitarian organizations in the region.

CBC Radio host Susan Campbell will be the emcee for the evening.
