“Might is Right” at Historic European Martial Arts competition

78th Fraser Highlander Laurent Theil-Santerre (4th from right), won a gold medal for Mixed Weapons combat. To his left is Alexandre Ménard who won gold for the Longsword (nylon), and to his right is Michel Arsenault who took bronze in the same category. 

On April 9 and 10 more than 35 warriors wearing medieval costumes or historical uniforms gathered in Montreal for the first ever Historic European Martial Arts (HEMA) Open. Under the theme “Might is Right,” the event was organized by Production Vinland in collaboration with La Compagnie Médiévale.
