The new permanent Marché public de Sainte-Foy will be open on the sides and will include mobile components that can be rolled out to protect merchants and visitors during inclement weather. Public washrooms will also be installed.

The Ville de Québec announced on Sept. 28 that the Marché public de Sainte-Foy will be redeveloped over the next two years. Despite the work planned in the area, the market will continue to operate on the current site during the construction.
