Letter to the Editor on new QCT owner

There are two people at this point in the existence of the Quebec Chronicle Telegraph who deserve our sincere thanks and appreciation.

First is Pierre Little who had never lost his goal to make a success of the faltering newspaper when he acquired it a few years ago. Today it is an attractive weekly with colour, covering news and stories from Quebec's English community. To have held on to find a purchaser is another feather in his cap.

Mr. Ray Stanton is the second person to receive our appreciation. From the complexity and magnitude of his holdings in the Toronto area he was able to spot this shining star among all Canadian newspapers. You will be proud sir to own the oldest, successful weekly in North America.

I believe I can speak for your readers in thanking you both for your contribution.

The dedicated employees, advertisers and contributors who hung in there also deserve thanks.
