A history of the Brown family on TVA

The Brown family name is one of the most widespread in the Anglo-Saxon world. It is the 5th most common name in Canada, the United States, England, Scotland and Australia. Although less numerous in Quebec, the Browns are, nevertheless, at the origins of a major event in our history; the creation of the first newspaper in North America: The Quebec Gazette, in 1764, by William Brown.
