The first Quebec International Winter Triathlon

Russian triathlete Nataliya Sila-Novitskyaya setting out for the 8-km cross-country leg of the non-professionals race.

The world première of the ITU Quebec Winter Triathlon took place on the Plains of Abraham this past weekend, showcasing the world's best male and female triathletes and paratriathletes.

Summer triathlons include swimming, cycling and running, whereas the winter edition involves 5 km of snowshoeing, 12 km of speed skating and 8 km of cross-country skiing for a total of 25 gruelling kilometres.
