The adult Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis) is very pretty but its larvae are destructive to ash trees.

The City of Quebec recently announced that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency confirmed the presence of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) in its territory.

The insect was discovered through an early detection program in an ash tree in the Montcalm district.
