By 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, Dialogue avec l’Histoire was razed to the ground.

It took little more than an hour to bring down Dialogue avec l’histoire, a work of art given to the Ville de Québec by the City of Paris in 1987. Built of white marble tiles and bands of black granite affixed to a hollow cement structure, the eye-catching monument sat in Place de Paris in Old Quebec near Rue Dalhousie.
