The view from the domed observation car at the end of the Ocean provides stunning views of the passing forests, fields, rivers, lakes and bays.

Travelling from Quebec City to Halifax is challenging. Flying east requires first going southwest to change planes in Montreal, Ottawa or even Toronto. Driving the 1,000-plus kilometres takes about 10 hours and may involve stopping overnight along the way. Fortunately, there is a top-notch alternative: Via Rail’s Ocean.
