Wednesday, May 16 – Back to Beer… and Hockey: Join us at the Morrin Centre for the Quebec City launch of Back to Beer… and Hockey: The Story of Eric Molson by Montreal-based executive coach and author Helen Antoniou, Eric Molson’s daughter-in-law. Drinks and food will be served during this cocktail reception. Tickets are $30 for the general public and $25 for members of the Morrin Centre. Wednesday, May 16, at 7 p.m. – End-of-year music concert at St. Patrick’s High School auditorium, featuring all students enrolled in the music program at St. Pat’s. The public is welcome. Admission is $5, free for children 12 and under.

May 18, 19 and 20 – Le Printemps de la Musique. Quebec City welcomes spring with a series of FREE concerts at various historic locations in the Old City. See the complete program at printempsdelamusique.ca.

May 18, 19, 20 – 175th anniversary of St. Patrick’s High School - May 18 at 7 p.m. - Meet and Greet at St. Pat’s. May 19 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; 6 p.m. - Cocktail Party, Banquet Supper and Entertainment at the Centre des Congrès (SOLD OUT); May 20 - 10 a.m. - Sunday Mass at St. Patrick’s Church. May 19 and 20 – Visit the Quebec Citadel for a historic re-enactment of 18th- century military life at l’École du soldat en Nouvelle-France. More than 140 passionate re-enactors offer a view of camp life in New France in the 1750s. In addition to military exercises, there will be rifle shooting and skirmishes.

Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. – The Walking Anglos meet outside Starbucks at the corner of Boulevard René-Lévesque and Avenue Cartier. The walk happens rain or shine (See article on page 2).

Wednesday, May 23 at 12:10 p.m. – Lunch & Learn: How to nail the interview at Eastern Quebec Learning Centre, Ave. William-Stuart (corner of Chemin St-Louis). Saturday, May 26 at 7:30 p.m. – The Ensemble de Musique Sacrée de Québec presents its spring concert Baroque A Capella, directed by Richard Duguay, in the Chapel of the Oratoire Saint-Joseph de Québec, 560 Chemin Sainte-Foy. General admission $20, students $15. Free for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult.

Sunday, May 27, from 11 a.m. – The Great Celebration of Nature on the Plains of Abraham. Greenhouses will be open and gardeners will offer advice on plants and trees. Distribution of 1,000 plants free of charge, a petting zoo, entertainment, face painting and much more await you during this very popular horticultural rendezvous!

Monday, May 28 at 6 p.m. – The Annual General Meeting of the Jeffery Hale-St. Brigid’s Users’ Committee will be held in the Coin de Soleil, second floor, at the Jeffery Hale Hospital. All are welcome.
