St. Lawrence P.W. Sims first year business students have undertaken the task of recruiting new employers for their fellow classmates Internships program.  As part of their Communication class term project the students had to create and manage a non-profitable event that would prove beneficial to the College and\or other students. During such project the young businessmen can put at practical use the material seen in their class.  From writing memos to meeting agendas, to prepare an adequate mean of advertisement to phone calls and appointments, most of the students had their very first hands-on experience at organizing a full-scale event.  As of the 14th and 15th of last April, Dave Allard, Julien Giguere, Paul Gros-Louis and Derek Verreault-Gravel visited Intergroup Assurances’ president general director mister Robert Dupont and Adesa’s human resource manager Maxime Chaumont in St-Romuald.  After explaining the various advantages of hiring a St. Lawrence student with the help of two visual accessories, a Power Point document and a brochure completely realized by the scholars, both employers were rejoiced to the idea of adding their name to the already impressive list of companies doing business with the college.  Thus, the students managed to successfully complete their project in the best interest of their classmates, teachers and college.  Hopefully, may this successful term project pave the way to other students in the near future of College Champlain St. Lawrence.
