Ovechkin suspended two games; Ballard receive no punishment

Following up on my piece from this week, it has been widely reported that Alexander Ovechkin will receive a two game ban for his knee-on-knee hit on Carolina's Tim Gleason. As for Florida's Keith Ballard and his akward stick swinging incident, he will not receive any supplementary discipline, which as you all know, I firmly disagree with.

Last week, the Calgary Flames managed to obtain the much coveted H1N1 vaccine whilst supplies were running short and others more in need were made to wait. Liambas Suspended for Balance of Season

The Ontario Hockey League announced Wednesday that 20 year old Erie Otter's forward Mike Liambas will be suspended for the remainder of 2009-10 season, including the playoffs, for his hit on the Kitchener Ranger's Ben Fanelli.
