John Neilson, owner and publisher of the Quebec Gazette from 1793 to 1848, dropped by the VEQ Fall Fest to see how his newspaper (now the Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph) was getting along 168 years later. Mr. Neilson had a chat with Quebec City’s deputy mayor Michelle Morin-Doyle and Stephen Burke, chairman of the board of commissioners of the Central Quebec School Board.

The gymnasium of St. Vincent’s Elementary School was buzzing with excitement early on Saturday, September 17, as local schools, institutions, youth groups, organizations, and businesses, including the Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph, set up their information booths and kiosks for the annual Fall Fest, organized by Voice of English-speaking Quebec.
